A bit surreal this time...

I love making quick drawings, in a few hours at most. I made this one with charcoal and pencils on pink paper. It's quite a good break from drawings made with fineliners, which take many days to complete 🙄

Time for some old works! I made this one in 2020 and used it as artwork for my music. The color in the final version was added digitally.
As you can see, I was inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's painting entitled 'The Temptation of St. Anthony'.

Aujourd'hui, laissez moi vous présenter le talentueux Salem's Art Michaël SALEM qui a réalisé un magnifique dessin tout en finesse (regardez-moi ces blancs sur noir!) pour illustrer l'histoire narrée dans le 1er album de Doska. Plus précisément, il a illustré le titre Detth'rya à l'instant où le grand prêtre et les adeptes conjurent ce qui semble être une manifestation de Detth'rya, en vue d'invoquer la Doska.

Salem avait pris contact avec moi quelques jours après la sortie de l'EP sur Bandcamp et m'a proposé de collaborer avec lui. J'ai découvert un artiste complet, subtil et humble avec qui j'ai eu plaisir à travailler et à échanger. Allez découvrir ses œuvres dont la maîtrise du noir et blanc et le sens du détail m'ont séduit dès le départ, ainsi que la musique de ses projets Arsenicum (Doom instrumental mélodique) et Ibelynn (Dark folk) qui sont tous les deux excellents.

Today, let me introduce you to the talented Salem's Art Michaël SALEM
who created a magnificent, detailed drawing (look at these white on black!) to illustrate the story told in Doska's first album. More specifically, it illustrated the end of the title Detth'rya: the moment where the high priest and the followers conjure what appears to be a manifestation of Detth'rya, in order to invoke the Doska.
Salem contacted me as soon as the EP was released and offered to collaborate with him. I discovered a complete, subtle and humble artist with whom I had the pleasure of working. Go and discover his works whose mastery of black and white and sense of detail seduced me from the start, as well as the music of his projects Arsenicum (Melodic instrumental Doom) and Ibelynn (Dark folk) which are both excellent.

Birch trees in winter (2023)

Tym razem coś innego. Zimowe krajobrazy zawsze były inspirujące dla mnie, a tym razem zainspirowały mnie do wypróbowania innych technik.
