Politics*cions in Art…
It is encouraging that the exhibition «Necessary Wishes» of .matterof.art at , which addresses important socio-political topics such as solidarity, anti-fascism, decolonization, queerness, migration, minority representation, and inclusion, became a space for a meeting between the Czech Minister of Culture Oto Klempíř and Belarusian president Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.

And my special thank you to .sveta for acting as the voice of the project in the conversation with the Minister during this meeting, and for continuing to be the voice of Belarusians on the international stage.

The exhibition will feature my monumental project , presented for the first time through 681 embroideries created by people all over the world in solidarity with political prisoners in Belarus.

🕖 Opening: 11 June 2026 at 19:00.
🕙 Guided tour with curators and artists (in English): 12 June at 10:00.
🗓️ The exhibition is open until 13 September 2026.
📍 Venue: National Gallery Prague – Trade Fair Palace.

A textile installation of 681 embroidered testimonies will be presented in The Great Hall of the Trade Fair Palace of the National Gallery in Prague — almost the full archive of the project together for the first time.

- it’s people!sjarhej & .it.in.compost the participants of at the exhibition Art of Activism in .cz . I am very glad that they managed to visit it, and we made this documentation alongside their embroideries.

💥‼️ The exhibition is open until March 8! Don’t hesitate to visit it.

Two more exhibitions representing are currently underway (the Textile Triennial in Łódź and a mini-mobile exhibition in municipal libraries in the Innlandet region of Norway) — see framedinbelarus.net for details.

I am also preparing a new exhibition in Prague, working on an online archive, and thinking about a book. Don’t think I’ve disappeared forever!
