Harmonium is a stringed instrument made of wood, metal, brass and cloth. A kind of portable wooden box, it was originated in West Bengal. Harmonium has thus become an integral part of Indian Classical Music. It is extensively used to accompany folk, classical, sufi and ghazal for both music and dance. The keys are played and bellows are compressed simultaneously. When the bellows are compressed the air is passed through the reed, causing it to vibrate.

Theobald Boehm helped create the modern Western flute. He started improving flute design and the fi*****ng system of the flute between 1831 and 1847. Most flutists had adopted Boehm’s changes to the design by the second half of the 19th century. Flutes have been made out of lots of different materials throughout history including: bone, wood, glass, ivory, plastic, resin, brass, nickel silver, silver, gold and platinum.

Whether it is correct or not, modern research suggests that tabla was first invented by a famous and well-known drummer named Amir Khusro during the first half of the 18th century i.e about 1738. Amir Khusro worked hard to develop a more fine and melodic membranophone percussion instrument that could suit the new style of music called Khayal.
