I turned sharp, broken red bottle glass into a full matching set — wire-wrapped drop earrings and a pendant necklace that both glow like raw rubies in the light.
This build takes ordinary waste glass and turns it into two wearable handmade pieces from the same batch of red glass. Raw broken shards are sorted by color and thickness, then every sharp edge is filed and rounded smooth with a fine diamond needle file over a cork block until safe to wear. For the earrings, two matching shards are caged in 22-gauge brass wire and hung from gold French hooks. For the necklace, a larger matching shard is set the same way in a brass wire cage and hung from a cord to form the pendant centerpiece. Both pieces are polished with a microfiber cloth so natural light passes straight through the translucent red glass.
