What drew us to 'Open to Hope, i' by Atif Khan was its quietness. A window sits at the centre of the sculpture, surrounded by branching steel forms that seem to reach outward while also folding back into themselves. As the light shifts, the surface changes too, making the work feel different from every angle.
Created for The Last Leaf, the piece made us think about those moments when hope feels fragile, when you’re not sure what comes next, but something small keeps you moving forward. It doesn’t demand attention; it stays with you.
