SURAH AL-ADIYAAT

Al-Adiyat or The War Horses which run swiftly, is the 100th chapter of the Qur'an, with 11 āyāt or verses.

*What did Allah swear by in Surah Al-Adiyat?

Allah swears by the war horses and describes their movements one after the other - running, snorting and neighing. They strike their hoofs against rocks, producing sparks of fire. They wage their attack early at dawn in order to take the enemy by surprise, producing a trail of dust during the unexpected battle.

*What is Surah Adiyat talking about?

Surah 'Adiyat tells us that mankind knows his own ingratitude. The human being knows that he is being ungrateful and that ingratitude is a negative attribute yet he remains ungrateful.

"Beshak insaan apne Rab ka bara hi nashukra h".

Hadith #17

"Sayyidul Istighfaar"

The Prophet ﷺ taught us a very important du’a for seeking forgiveness from Allah. It’s often titled sayyidul istighfar, or the Best [Du’a] for Seeking Forgiveness:

O Allah, You are my Lord. None has the right to be worshiped but You. You created me and I am your servant. I am committed to Your covenant and promise, as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So, forgive me, for indeed, no one forgives sins but You.

The Prophet ﷺ added,

“If somebody recites this [du’a] during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”

Salam everybody!
Hope you all are doing well.
😇😇😇

Here I am with another post related to one of the most common issues seen in children with SPD and autism. It can also be present in any neurodivergent kid.
Some typical developing kids also tend to show some interest in their specific food items than others.
I hope this post would be helpful for all.

So, 'Picky Eating' and 'Problem Feeding' are very similar but has some discrimination that we need to figure out for their specific solutions.

Both of these terms refer to kids not eating much of the food they are given compared to their peer groups.

They have some "Preffered" and many "Non-preffered foods".

They often reject most of the food items, either nutrition groups or texture groups.

And feeding these kids is always a power struggle for parents.

This might lead to health issues. Your child would be overweight or underweight due to only eating specific food items and rejecting every other item.

Every new food in their plate causes a fight and fright response in their brain, so they either drop the food or run away from table.

In this post, I'm sharing some of the red flags to know if you have a Problem Feeder or Picky Eater.

Note: I'll be sharing some tips and tricks for parents and therapists to deal this meal time struggle soon.
So stay tuned guys! 😏

☆ VISUAL SCHEDULE FOR VISUAL SEEKERS AND FOR NORMAL DEVELOPMENT OF TRACKING SKILLS ☆
- Visual tracking is simply focusing on an object as it moves across a person's visual field.

- This skill is important for almost all daily activities, including reading, writing, cutting with scissors, drawing, and playing.

- Typically, the ability to visually track objects emerges in children around the age of five.

Assalam o Alaikum people!
Hope you're doing very well 😁
We are in the middle of this week and hopefully it'll end great 👍

Today I wanted to share something really close to my heart. I never realised working as an OT that I would fall in true love with these kiddos. Literally it's my early professional journey and I'm (Alhamdulillah) totally immersed into my Job and love my kids ❣❣.
I'm currently working as Pediatric OT and would definitely work with adults too in future InshaAllah. 😊😊

While working with kids especially autism or any special needs (as parent or therapist) sometimes we demand and expect too much from them. We make higher hopes and get upset when kids don't meet those hopes. Which is also discouraging for the child and decreases their self esteem and cause anxiety.

Here what we must understand that every human being is wired differently. We develop and do things in our own unique ways. We must not expect our kids to go with the flow rather move with their own pace.

This helps them grow healthy and have more confidence in their creativity and skills. 💪💪

Assalam o Alaikum everybody!

Here I'm sharing some of the daily life triggers for people with autism or SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder).

[RED FLAGS FOR HYPERSENSITIVE CHILD]

Your child might be afraid of or have difficulty processing information that is;

- Too Fast (rides, running, swinging or instructions/ language)

- Too High (heights: it differs with every individual as a specific height can be a trigger for one person but not for other)

- Too Unfamiliar (new faces, places, things or tasks)

- Too Overwhelming (any task or activity that involves more than one Sensory stimuli)

- Too New (changing school, new transitions etc)

- Too Close (no or less personal space, standing too close to them, holding hands, hugs)

- Too Hectic (poor endurance, sitting tolerance, staying on one task, attention span, tasks requiringsustainedeye contact)

- Too Loud (loud or Unexpected noises, new sounds)

- Too Bright (avoids bright lights or puts hands on eyes or preffers sunglasses when go outside)

- Too Unexpected (not told about tasks earlier)

- Too Vague (unclear instructions, long sentences)

- Too Loose (related to clothing)

- Too Tight (same as above)

These things can occur due to "LOW SENSORY THRESHOLD".
