Abr e Karam presents a dreamlike landscape overtaken by dense ornamental clouds. A bright blue sky breaks through the heavy clouds, as fragile trees grow from a rocky terrain. Abandoned window frames lie embedded within the landscape as traces of human presence. The contrast between the soft decorative clouds and the quiet ruin of the objects creates a calm yet unsettling atmosphere.
Maryam explores the tension between nature and human intervention. The window frame symbolizes the remnants of modern systems of production and consumption, now absorbed into the natural world. She examines relationshipd between nature, consumption and normalization of environmental decay.
