Abr e Karam presents a dreamlike landscape overtaken by dense ornamental clouds. A bright blue sky breaks through the heavy clouds, as fragile trees grow from a rocky terrain. Abandoned window frames lie embedded within the landscape as traces of human presence. The contrast between the soft decorative clouds and the quiet ruin of the objects creates a calm yet unsettling atmosphere.

Maryam explores the tension between nature and human intervention. The window frame symbolizes the remnants of modern systems of production and consumption, now absorbed into the natural world. She examines relationshipd between nature, consumption and normalization of environmental decay.

Due to the exceptional quality of submissions, this year’s Summer Show will now unfold across two exhibitions!
The response to our Open Call has been far beyond what we imagined, and the depth, experimentation, and diversity of works have made this process both exciting and challenging.

300+ submissions. Countless perspectives. One incredibly difficult decision.
Thanks to everyone who applied!

Fingers crossed for the 24th🀞🏻

β€œMarks of Becoming I” by Sidra presents a dreamlike landscape, composed of a pale blue sky filled with soft, cottony clouds and green hills below. Suspended across the sky are a series of bright red window frames. Thin red threads snake through the windows, looping down to the ground and wrapping around the trees.
The work creates a surreal tension between architecture and nature, suggesting interconnected spaces where many links remain unfinished, tangled, or trailing away without destination…

Sidra Liaqat’s practice draws from miniature painting, where personal experience and traditional visual language converge. Employing finely rendered knitted patterns to explore connections between conscious and subconscious, self and society, time and existence - she studies paradoxes and contrasts to reinterpret lived experience.

β€œTelling of Countless Sunny Hours” by Brishna depicts a vibrant garden crowded with richly colored pansies in shades of purple, violet, burgundy, yellow and more. The painting is carefully detailed with velvety textures and rich colors. A turquoise-blue sky glows above with stylized clouds. Butterflies and bees drift through the garden, adding a dreamy touch to the artwork. It invokes a sense of calm and serenity, transporting the viewer into the landscape.

Brishna Amin Khan represents nature’s self-actualised form - allowing nature to become its unaltered form. She uses miniature techniques and saturated colors that give her paintings an illustrative touch.

Fatima Maqbools’s art practice is inspired by the beauty of timeless architecture, exploring memory, impermanence and the depth of details. What began as a contemplation of decaying structures has evolved into a layered inquiry into place, narrative, and imagination. Her work becomes both an archive and a quiet act of resistance, holding onto the landscapes as they slip between memory and disappearance. Come visit her work at 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐏π₯𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧, at ArtSoch Contemporary, till 22nd of May.

Through her repetitive and meditative process of applying beads of paint on a UV printed canvas, Ayesha questions whether we shape the spaces we inhabit, or if they, in turn, shape us. She builds layered surfaces that mirror the complexity of perception. Come visit her work at 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐏π₯𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧, at ArtSoch Contemporary.

Fizza Aslam paints nature as a spiritual act, to praise and admire the Creator. She regards each of His creations as β€œAyah” - a Quranic verse - that signify His existence in the universe. Delicate forms, layered details, and organic patterns come together to express a world held in harmony and divine balance.
