سچل سرمست ایک صوفی شاعر تھے جن کا اصلی نام عبدل وہاب بن صلاح الدین تھا۔ آپ نے اپنی شاعری میں "سچل' کا استعمل کیا ہے۔ سندھی زبان میں سچالو کے معنی سَچ بولنے والا یعنی راست گو ہے ۔ سرمست کا مطلب صوفی ۔ تو لَفظاً سچل سرمست کے معنی راست گو صوفی کے ہوئے ۔ آپ کی پیدائشسن ۱۷۳۹ع بمطابق ۱۱۵۲ھ گاؤں درازاضلعہ خیرپور میرس.
