Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Major General (Retd.) Hafeez Ur Rehman has revealed that completely blocking TikTok Live in Pakistan is not possible because users can access the platform through VPNs.

Speaking at a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology, the PTA chairman said the authority blocks objectionable content when complaints are received. However, the widespread availability of VPNs makes it impossible to prevent users from accessing TikTok Live on a 100% basis.

Senators expressed concern over alleged inappropriate activities on TikTok Live. PTA and FIA officials said joint action against such content would continue.
