Basirah means spiritual insight, wisdom, the inner eye in Arabic and in Sufi Spirituality. My page was called "faces of detroit" but even then since the beginning I had posted not just about detroit, but also my photographs from all over the world. For this reason I find it more fitting to change it to a general name such as Basirah, that more accurately encompasses all of my photography and posts
. In that sense it is a more fitting name than the current faces of detroit. Those who have been following my page for a while should know that I post photographs from all over the world so It should not be confusing to them. I am in the process of updating the "about" section to reflect this, and I have not published the page yet. Thank you very much
