Since 1954, the Alliance Française de Karachi has served as a French language centre, cultural centre and event space in the heart of Clifton, Karachi. We are a Pakistani nonprofit organization and are affiliated with the Alliance Française, an international organization with the mission of promoting the French language, Francophone culture, and cultural diversity in cities around the world.

Follow two old friends, Mathias and Philippe, as they set out on bicycles from the Atlantic to the Black Sea, retracing the journey Mathias’s son made before his tragic death. This September, host Maliha Rao welcomes publishing professional, editor, and manuscript consultant Isha Ahmed (Ishaa) to the circle. With experience overseeing 45+ titles across fiction, classics, and non-fiction, she will share practical insights on the editing process, the path to publication, and the local publishing industry.

Expect an afternoon of silent reading in the library, guided writing exercises, and an engaging blind book swap. The session includes an open Q&A with our guest speaker to address your specific publishing questions. Seats are strictly limited to keep the space intimate.
