Despite producing 70 percent of the world’s footballs, Pakistani workers in the manufacturing industry in Sialkot merely earn only Rs. 160 per ball, Bloomberg has revealed. Note here that the official price for the FIFA World Cup football is $165 or around Rs, 36,000.
According to the report, stitching one ball takes three hours, so a worker can earn around Rs. 10,000 per month by stitching three balls per day, while a living wage in Sialkot is Rs. 20,000 per month.
The report further stated that approximately eight percent of the city’s population works in the soccer ball industry, where they frequently work long hours and sew the panels of the balls by hand.
It was also reported that 80% of soccer balls are handcrafted, and this time-consuming method increases the soccer ball’s durability and aerodynamic stability when compared to machine-stitched balls.
It is pertinent to mention here that approximately 40 million soccer balls are purchased worldwide each year, while sales mostly increase during the FIFA World Cup.

PM Imran Khan approves appointment of Gen Munir on recommendation of Gen Qamar.
ISLAMABAD:

In a major reshuffle that also includes some key appointments, the Pakistan Army on Wednesday named Lieutenant General Asim Munir as the new head of the country’s premier spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Munir was among the six major generals who were recently promoted to the rank of lieutenant general. According to official sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved appointment of Gen Munir to the post of the ISI director general on the recommendation of army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

However, the formal announcement made by the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), suggested that the PM merely approved name of the new ISI director general as sent by the army chief.

Technically, it is prerogative of the prime minister to appoint the spy chief but this crucial appointment is always done with the consent of the army chief. The new DG ISI will formally take over on October 26 a day after the incumbent ISI chief Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar retires.

Qatar has taken things to the next level as it features private suites and rooms in the stadium for the spectators who do not want to leave their beds to catch live action.

Al-Bayt Stadium has 96 rooms and suites circling the football ground. Similar facilities will be available in Lusail Stadium during the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. These rooms are as splendid as any five-star hotel room, however, they turn into a high-end enclosure as soon as the window is opened. The fans booking these rooms will be able to enjoy the atmosphere of the stands by merely stepping into their balconies.

Explaining the concept of these elite enclosures, the representative of the administration told, ” Just like an airplane has economy, business, and first classes, we have a range of hospitality products designed for a range of clients, from the super-luxurious to the casual and relaxed. These types of hospitality products give people a way to guarantee their access to the game, with additional benefits, whether they are booking a family-friendly lounge, or hosting their VVIP guests in an exclusive suite.”

Tian's house of cards was completed in 5 hours and 4 minutes with 50 floors and a height of 3.37 meters, earning him the Guinness World Record.
In this digital age of OTT popularity, House of Cards is known more as a political thriller streaming television series than a card tower structure built by stacking playing cards.
Artists interested in card stacking, on the other hand, consider it a serious art form and strive to achieve new feats with each one.

A young Chinese man has set a new world record for the fastest time to build a 50-storey house of cards in just five hours and four minutes.
