Super Blue Mineral Moon of August 2024.

The image showcases a Super Blue Mineral Moon of 19th August 2024. The term "supermoon" refers to as either a new or full Moon that occurs when the Moon is within 90% of its closest approach to Earth.

Although it does not look blue, as the third full Moon in a season with four full Moons, this is also a Blue Moon. Not to mention the exaggerated colors that show the mineral composition of lunar soil.

60 single RAW images were captured and stacked. Colors were enhanced in photoshop.

Equipment Details: 90mm Sky watcher Refractor and Canon 1200D DSLR at prime focus method.

Location: Karachi, Pakistan.

Highlights from a Telescopic Observation session in a Science Exhibit at Ribat School last night from 6 - 9 PM.

Around 100+ participants (homeschoolers + their families) observed the moon, Jupiter and its four moons using Celestron's 8 inch Nexstar Evolution GoTo Telescope at multiple magnifications.

Although the event had science exhibits as well yet the telescopic observation session was overwhelmed by the never ending queues and enthusiasm of kids.
