Then, sometime around 1976, Pakistan's first amusement park started to take shape with its first rides by the name of Apollo and star jet! Funland in 80s started to pick up pace and many rides were installed such as the tornado, Himalaya, telecom-bat, and the all time favorite Hully Gully and Balloon race as a family ride. ate 90s brought bigger and better changes with Pakistan’s fist gravity coaster by the name of Cyclone. In early 90s, the widely popular music bob was added in Funland's arsenal of rides. Numerous other small rides were also added. In early 2005, Funland was closed down as the plans for Ibn-e-Qasim Park were finalized and the construction of the same started. Funland was closed down for about one and a half year. Then, around mid of 2007 Funland was relocated on one side of IBN -E QASIM PARK. Many of the old attractions were re installed in Funland. As compared to the old Funland, the relocated Funland is smaller. However, there are newer attractions such as the flying carpet. The Flying carpet with its high speeds attracts thrill seekers. Other new attractions which will be installed, include thrilling rides as well as family rides. The upcoming attraction in Funland is Rotoshake, which is capable of turning people 360 degrees as well as upside down at about 85 feet. Note: If you are visiting with family please avoid rush days such as public holidays and weekends. Funland opens from 5 till midnight. The best time is early in the evening to enjoy and avoid rush!
