This Summer with Naveed Sadiq Studio Naveed Sadiq Naveed Sadiq Education Programme - IVS at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture ✨🎨

Join me for a hands-on journey into the world of Indo-Persian painting, natural pigments, and traditional surface-making, where nature meets craft; starting 30th June 2025.

Here’s what we’ll explore:

1. Self-Portrait – Mughal Style
Blend classical techniques like pardakht, geometry, and natural pigments to create your own timeless portrait.

2. Making Malachite Pigment
Grind raw mineral into vibrant green hues—an alchemical process rooted in earth and tradition.

3. Making Wasli Paper
Learn how to layer, bind, and construct handmade surfaces once used by court painters of the Mughal era.

This is an invitation to explore indigenous materials, ancient processes, and contemporary expression.

Get ready to delve into the enchanting world of craftsmanship with Naveed Sadiq Studio Naveed Sadiq, Education Program - IVS at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture a series of workshops where we embark on a journey of discovery, unlocking the secrets of nature's treasures in not just one, but three inspiring sessions!

Session One: We'll begin with Self-Portrait – Mughal Style, followed by sessions on Natural Pigment Making and the Construction of a Surface (Wasli), starting on 30th June 2025.
This is an invitation to explore traditional methods and ancient knowledge through a contemporary lens—bringing life to your own self-portrait using colours and surfaces rooted in the heritage of Asian painting, fresco, egg tempera, painting on paper and classical drawing practices.
