Another glimpse from my Behbud Art & Craft Bazaar experience in Islamabad.
While my paintings received so much love and appreciation, this corner of my stall featuring digital print wall hangings with humorous quotes, brought plenty of smiles and laughter.
They were selling like hot cakes! šŸ˜„

These wall hangings are also available for purchase and can be customized on request.

At my recent art and craft show (Behbud art and craft bazaar)
I experienced people smiling, thinking, perceiving, and admiring my art works.
It felt like I was communicating with my audience through my paintings, and they could relate to them through their feelings, happiness, and sorrows.
It was truly inspiring to see them connect my work with their emotions and experiences, as if my paintings defined a unique phase of their lives.
Here’s a glimpse of that beautiful memory.

Some moments stay with you long after the event ends.
Meeting her reminded me that art doesn’t just hang on walls. it finds hearts that need it.

She found a piece of her grief in my art, and I found a reminder of why I create.
When someone sees their own story in your work. that’s the truest reward an artist can receive.
Grateful for the connections art creates, in silence and in tears.

Two days of art, stories, and connection. where every stall held a piece of someone’s heart.
There’s something magical about being surrounded by people who create, feel, and express.
Here’s a glimpse of what those moments looked like. šŸŽØ

ā€œMoments We Didn’t Frameā€
Mixed media on canvas | 12ā€ x 30ā€ | Artwork by Rahila Rashid

This painting holds the kind of moments we never took pictures of. the quiet, almost unnoticed pieces of love and connection that somehow stayed with us the longest.
The soft, blurred shapes drift across the canvas like half-remembered memories.
People, gestures, silences. all floating somewhere between presence and memory.
I used gentle tones like pale yellows, muted violets, and soft peaches to reflect how tender and fragile those moments felt.
This isn’t a painting of a place or a time. It’s a painting of what it felt like to be there.
The warmth in a glance, the quiet in between words, the closeness that never needed to be explained.
These are the moments we didn’t frame, but never really forgot.

šŸ‘‰ If this piece speaks to you, I’d love to hear which memory it brought back.

Throwback to one of the most meaningful projects I’ve had the honor to create. "Mein Yeh Hun"Canvas Installation | Kiran Foundation, DCTO Campus Lyari"Mein Yeh Hun" is a heartfelt tribute to the athletic brilliance rooted in the heart of Lyari—a place too often misrepresented and misunderstood. This mural celebrates the raw, intuitive love for sports embedded in the youth of Lyari, where resilience has always outshone adversity. As the Head of the Art Department at Kiran Foundation DCTO Campus, I had the honor of conceptualizing, designing, and executing this large‑scale, wall‑mounted multi‑panel canvas installation. The piece took three months to complete and showcases four of DCTO’s remarkable young athletes:⚽ Maaz bin Ali – DCTO football team’s agile Centre ForwardšŸ¤øā€ā™€ļø Shaista Rasheed – DCTO’s first female gymnast🄊 Hammad Karim – a naturally gifted boxeršŸƒā€ā™‚ļø Anis Gul – a high-jump champion and all-around athleteI had the pleasure of working on this project alongside a group of dedicated art students from Grades 9 & 10.This project is more than just a canvas installation, it’s a statement of pride, an identity. It was a powerful experience to transform this idea into a visual narrative. This project allowed me to tell a story that truly needed to be heard:ā€œThis is who we are.ā€(Mein Yeh Hun)

🌟 Footprints of the Heart: An Artful Exploration of Shared Experience 🌟
Red and Orange hosted a transformative therapeutic art session at Kiran Foundation, centered on the theme of "walking in someone else’s shoes." Through this creative activity, participants shared their canvases and stepped into the emotional worlds of others, discovering the power of empathy and connection.
This session highlighted how understanding and caring about each other's struggles can enhance our own mental well-being. By recognizing that we’re not alone in facing life’s challenges, we can approach our mental health with clarity and compassion.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in this beautiful exploration of shared experiences.
