With a powerful command over Urdu language, Dr. Waheed Ahmed breaks taboos to smithreens and builds new paradigms for a thought-provoking audience. His contemporary poetry is not merely limted to common themes, but explores historical and cultural perspectives. Two of his poetry books 'Shaffafian' and 'Hum Aag Churate Hain' are a credible example of his intellect. He has also expanded his horizons and written a novel 'Zeno'. The name needs no introduction- meet Anjum Saleemi on the 1st of June in the Annual FUSH Mushaira' 22. His literary works transcend the barriers of art as he delves into the melancholy of love. But it doesn't stop there- Anjum sahb has written and directed stage plays, organized symposia and seminars on cultural themes and published volumes of Urdu and Punjabi poetry. All the way from Azad Kashmir, Raaz Ehtesham a modern poet, takes the stage with his elegance and sophistication on various topics. Starting early on in his university life, Raaz Ehtesham sustained a vital role in his literary circles and socieities. He's also credited as a Vice President in LUMS literary society where his contributions cannot go unnoticed. His poetry revolves around the charm and existence of love but goes way beyond to talk about the dimensions of pain & its social implications. It's an honor to have him in our Mushaira.
