Malik Muhammad Samim Shahid is an active member of the GCU Debating Society. From dominating the U-19 debating circuit during his intermediate years to making his mark in the open category, Mr. Samim continues to impress audiences with his wit, eloquence, and stage presence. His humorous speeches, often built around sharp satire on Pakistani politics and societal norms, have earned him recognition across the national debating circuit.
In a country like Pakistan, where humour varies significantly from region to region, Malik Muhammad Samim Shahid has mastered the art of connecting with diverse audiences on almost every major stage in the country. He has won more than 25 All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contests, including prestigious competitions at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Lahore Garrison University, Forman Christian College University, Sheikh Zayed Medical College, National University of Modern Languages, COMSATS University Islamabad, University of Kotli, Sadiq Public School, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, and Bloomfield Hall School, among many others.
He is currently pursuing an LL.B. from Dr. Iqbal Law School. In the Pakistani debating circuit, where humorous declamation is often treated as secondary to serious speaking, Muhammad Samim Shahid has successfully challenged the narrative by establishing himself as one of the leading humorous declamation speakers of his generation. Alongside his competitive achievements, he has also conducted training sessions at institutions such as University of Agriculture Faisalabad Burewala Campus and LGS Valencia Town.
