A MOUNTAINEERING PIONEER

A tribute and remembering of legendary mountaineer Rajab Shah (crown of Karakoram) hailing from Shimshal Valley Hunza(valley of mountaineers). He started his career as a high altitude porter and in 1998 he become the first Pakistani to climb all eight thousand peaks in Pakistan he achieved this milestone without a supplement oxygen. He was honored with Presidents Pride of Performance award in field of sports in 1993. Rajab Shah also appeared in Hollywood adventure film "K2 " in 1991 as in role of Balti porter.

He breath his last breath on 30.04.2015 in his home town but matter of fact legend never dies his deeds are role model for his community, may his soul rest in eternal peace.

Update!

Team Rise and Run Ski expedition 2021 is in Shimshal valley they had a meet up today in which the conditions of the mountains were discussed, rechecked the equipments and also emphasis on the strategy to stay energetic in order to complete the mission successfully. The team also fixed the schedule according to which they are leaving for Shimshal pass tomorrow to begin with the mission of skiing down from three 6000m peaks in Shimshal pass - Pamir.

What you dream about in this hustle world ? To have a luxurious lifestyle or just a simpler one.
