Raat ka waqt tha, halki si baarish ho rahi thi. Woh dono ek coffee shop ke kone mein baithe the, jahan duniya se zyada unki baatein zaroori lag rahi thi.

Uski muskurahat mein ek ajeeb sa jaadu tha aur har lafz dil ko chhoo raha tha.

Woh boli, "Kabhi kabhi ek ajnabi bhi apna sa lagne lagta hai."

Usne muskura kar kaha, "Shayad kuch log milte hi isliye hain ke zindagi thodi khoobsurat ban jaye."

Baarish tez hoti gayi, lekin unki baatein aur gehri hoti gayin…

ek aisi yaad ban gayi jo dono kabhi bhool nahi sake.

جو چھوڑ گئے، اُن کا شکوہ بھی نہیں،
جو بدل گئے، اُن سے گلہ بھی نہیں۔ہم نے دل کو اتنا مضبوط کر لیا،
اب کسی کی بےوفائی سے فرق بھی نہیں پڑتا۔

خاموش رہ کر بھی ہم نے بہت کچھ کہہ دیا،
جو نہ سمجھ سکے، اُن سے رشتہ ہی ختم کر دیا۔
اب نہ کسی سے شکوہ ہے، نہ کسی سے گلہ،
اپنے درد کو ہم نے اپنی مسکراہٹ میں چھپا لیا۔
