On September 5, 2026, it was officially confirmed that alpha testing has started for Rules of Survival (ROS Origin)βa community-driven private server project under ObsidianGames established on July 29, 2026. This testing phase remains active following the launch of the access selection process.
The lead developer initially announced the news via the official ROS Origin Discord server on September 4, 2026, before the confirmation of alpha tester selection and access the following day, stating that they immediately began selecting and inviting testers. The team advised the ROS community to monitor their pre-registration emails and the official Discord server for invitations and daily updates.
As player selection continues, multiple well-known content creators with at least 100,000 followers were invited to participate and join the first wave of players testing the game during its early alpha phase.

While the Pre-Alpha test begins shortly, the public should fully understand that they should still expect more bugs and glitches in-game as the phase continues.
