Take a look at him. Would you believe him when he says he's wearing it because those are his initials? Will the authorities believe that? Or will they think he is lying?

Racial discrimination manifests itself in a variety of ways, but one in particular is more disturbing than the others: racism in the justice system, particularly among young people. According to Barnardo's (2020), young black men in the United Kingdom are four times more likely to be arrested, stopped, or searched by police, all of which occurred during the COVID-19 lockdown alone.

What is alarming is that racial bias knows no bounds, whether you are an adult or a simple teenager going about your day.

People have sought to fight for rights, equality, and freedom for as long as society has existed. But as we grow, we encounter more problems and difficulties that put our willingness to stand up for what is right to the test. Thankfully, as conflicts and miseries pile up, so do our capabilities to combat them. Project New Media Artivism was established in order to utilize these untapped potentials, particularly through the use of technology and art.

Art has long been a catalyst for change. It has repeatedly proven to be among the most effective platforms for addressing and promoting the change that is urgently required for every political and social issue. New Media Artivism is a social activism movement that focuses on issues, particularly racial discrimination.

We hope that by establishing this community, those who are as passionate about being a part of the change as we are will contribute to it with insightful conversations in the comment section. Everyone is encouraged by New Media Artivism to not only comment on the artworks posted here but also to think of other ways to support social activism, such as by making their own art or sharing the artworks already posted here.
