Hiii pls take time to read heart share and comment to support! Thanks... Take time to read!
He thought November would change everything.
Matagal na niyang pinagdadasal ‘yon. Hindi lang simpleng crush. Hindi lang simpleng kilig. It was the kind of feeling that made him want to become a better man. Yung tipong kapag iniisip niya ang future, kasama siya doon. Kapag nagpe-pray siya, laging kasama ang pangalan niya.
So one day, he gathered all his courage. Nanginginig ang kamay, mabigat ang dibdib, pero buo ang loob. Umamin siya.
And she said it was okay. She accepted his feelings.
For a moment, the world felt lighter. Parang may liwanag sa dulo ng tunnel. Kahit walang kasiguraduhan, may pag-asa. At sapat na iyon.
But life doesn’t always move in straight lines.
November 24 came like a storm. Bigla. Malakas. Walang warning. He broke in ways he didn’t expect. He pushed everyone away. Friends. Church. Ministry. Even himself. He disappeared, not because he wanted to, but because he didn’t know how to stay.
And the hardest part? He also drifted away from her.
Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Every night, he carried guilt like a heavy bag on his shoulders. He wanted to go back, but he didn’t know how. He wanted to explain, but he didn’t have the words.
January came. Finally, they talked.
Heart to heart.
Sorry after sorry.
Silence after silence.
She said it was okay. She forgave him.
But something had changed.
Her chats felt colder. Shorter. Parang may pader na hindi niya nakikita pero ramdam niya. He tried to ignore it. He tried to believe everything was still the same. But deep inside, he knew.
So one day, he asked again.
And this time, she was honest.
She said she didn’t have romantic feelings for him.
She said she only saw him as a friend.
She said there was nothing wrong with him.
She said he was kind, respectful, and good.
She said she didn’t want to lead him on.
She said she wanted to keep their friendship.
Every word was gentle. Every sentence was careful. Walang galit. Walang paninisi. Walang harshness.
And that’s what made it hurt more.
Because how do you hate someone who only told you the truth?
How do you blame someone who tried not to hurt you?
That night, he cried.
Not because he was rejected.
But because he realized something.
Love does not always end with two people together.
Sometimes, love ends with letting go.
He realized that he did not lose.
He did not fail.
He did not become less.
He loved sincerely.
He respected her.
He chose honesty over comfort.
He chose courage over silence.
And even though his heart was breaking, there was peace.
Because somewhere in the middle of the pain, he heard a quiet whisper:
“Not this one. Not this time. I have something better.”
So he wiped his tears.
Not because the pain was gone,
but because he finally understood.
Some people come into your life
not to stay,
but to teach you how to love
without losing yourself.
And maybe, someday,
when his heart is ready again,
he will thank her.
Because she didn’t choose him,
but she helped him become
the man someone else will one day pray for.
