“What Breaks, Flows”
12k Resolution, 50 gigabytes of data
using six LG OLED C5 TVs
This piece moves like the Earth breathes, with streams of digital rock flowing across six screens in a rhythm inspired by deep mantle currents, where fragments break and come together in a continuous cycle of collapse and renewal. Though the Philippine archipelago is divided by water, an invisible current beneath connects it all, mirroring the shared spirit of its people. Here, solid forms become fluid, fragments drift endlessly, and the work becomes a meditation on transformation, reminding us that even in breaking, there is movement, and in every ending, the beginning of something new.
The centerpiece of Isaiah’s solo exhibit “Fragments” at the National Museum of the Philippines
In partnership with LG Philippines, the exhibit reimagined the geological history of the Philippine archipelago through the eyes of Isaiah, who made history as the first digital and media artist to do a solo exhibit in the museum.
A.I. was not used to create any of the works of the artist. Just pure traditional math formulas, python, and human creativity.
