We join the people of Panay and Romblon, including the cities of Iloilo and Roxas, in remembering a defining moment in our local history—the 81st Commemoration of the Liberation of Panay.
Every March 18, observed as Victory Day under Proclamation No. 430, communities across Panay and Romblon commemorate the courage and sacrifice of the Panay guerrilla forces who launched their decisive offensive against the Japanese Imperial Army in 1945.
This date is also recognized as a special public holiday, which means there are no classes and no office work in the covered areas, giving everyone the opportunity to reflect on the historical significance of this victory.
