Endless Randomness

Endless Randomness Hi, my name is Alyn and welcome to my paintings page. I hope to paint different subjects when I get better!

I just started in May 2020 (so still really a beginner) with the Peeping Cat (the cover photo), and have been painting plants since then.

My first attempt at portrait painting. I gave up on this many times than I can count but every couple months or so I'd pick up the brush and try again and again, and again. I don't know how to draw a face, so even with all these imperfections, I'm happy this already turned out much better than I could ever hope before.

Funny I started this when me and him were talking for just a month. I had a big crush on him at the time. Now almost 2years have passed, finally I applied the final glossy coating. As for us, we're engaged, and we have been very grateful ever since. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Before I painted this, I just imagined them looking down into what they used to call home and the people they used to consider as family. Buttercup said to Crush: "They seem to be doing so well now. We can finally go. ๐Ÿ˜Š"

And then I cried a little bit. It can be very hard to let go, but knowing they're happy and with God now makes their absence a tiny bit more bearable.

I hope there comes a time when I can explain my interpretation of this painting to the person I'm gonna give this to. It...

I hope there comes a time when I can explain my interpretation of this painting to the person I'm gonna give this to. It's quite special, so I'll patiently wait.

During my painting process, there's always this moment when I get so frustrated already cause none of my attempts to fix the many wrong things about it is working, until all of a sudden it does, like magic, and it's cool because now even while still imperfect, it resembles the subject finally more than ever. Always a big relief, especially for this one that I had to finish in much less time than usual.

Til we see each other again. Will miss you both.

And so I continue painting for the sake of having a good time, reducing screen time, and slowly learning on my own. Here's a little optical illusion for you.
