This new set of paintings was inspired by my museum visit last month, particularly the Palayok Gallery at the National Museum of Anthropology.

I created these works to remind us that beneath the visible surge of life, the soil itself shapes our culture and heritage, feeding our customs, and holding our history in ways both seen and unseen.

A painting dedicated and inspired from ATLA S2 additional main character "Toph Beifong".
Like seriously pinanood ko yung series sa isang upuan lang at sa first episode palang sobrang na in love na ako sa cinematography at lalong-lalo na kay Toph. She's not just your typical earth bender kasi sobrang special ng pagkatao niya lalo na at hindi siya nakakakita.

And just how Toph bends earth, this painting shapes light and color to bring out emotion. It’s about the feeling that lies deeper than what we truly see. 🀎
