Dressed up as a Scouting Legion member for our event last Sat, FanFest: Spring Nook 🌸
‘Was supposed to be Mikasa but wasn’t able to get a haircut and I was in a hurry already (I originally planned not to attend even though I spent days preparing the event… ‘cause I was in another town with my fam for the summer vacation but on the day of the event, I decided to be there to make sure that the event was running smoothly. I was getting a little worried.)
Anyway, I’ll try to redo this cosplay someday with the other props (which I actually have but was in Tac and had not much time anymore to prepare them). These days I really am not conscious anymore of looking great in cosplay as long as I am comfy and presentable I’m fine already with that. I’m into easy-to-wear cosplays now ‘cause my body is still not fit after pregnancy and juggling life with a baby/toddler is overwhelming enough already. Also since pregnancy, I’m not really into make ups anymore since it isn’t advised to wear make up during pregnancy. So I just got used to having my face bare now even during cosplays, just adding a lipstick. Also I have this goal to look okay even without much make up, like through natural ways nlang or “beauty from within the body” prioritizing to “feel good physically inside as it will just reflect on the outside” concept. But kudos to other moms who can already bounce back to doing cosplay again heavily. We all have different timelines. As for me, I don’t wanna pressure myself.
Little by little though, I’m starting to get interested in make up again especially that I got some acquaintances who needed help with their make up. It just brings back whatever stock knowledge I still have of make up. And still willing to learn more gradually.
In this event, I’m glad that Ate Mina’s kids were also cosplaying some Attack on Titan characters. 💚 I love it when parents are supportive of their child to participate in hobbies like this.
Until next time then! 🫡
