Fair Phyllis tells the playful love story of Amynthas and Phyllis, unfolding through moments of searching, longing, and reunion. The music shifts quickly in mood, capturing both the confusion of separation and the lighthearted joy of finding one another again.

Through vivid word painting, the piece brings the story to life-voices rising, falling, and echoing the text in ways that feel almost theatrical. Each musical gesture mirrors the narrative, making even the smallest moments feel expressive and alive.

This work does not dwell on complexity. Instead, it embraces wit and charm, where storytelling and music move together with effortless clarity.
