🎨 Guhit Pinas–Surigao Welcomes CRAG 2026!

Guhit Pinas–Surigao joins fellow Surigaonons in warmly welcoming the athletes, coaches, and visitors of the Caraga Regional Athletic Games (CRAG) 2026 here in Surigao City. 🏅

In partnership with our artists, the Surigao City Local Government helped bring color and creativity to the Athletes’ Village arches located at Luneta Park along Borromeo Street. The arches were painted by Guhit Pinas–Surigao artists Jhonblyn Guangco, Oliver Poliran, Edmon Añoza, Winston Dela Paz, Marco Jee Basas, and Russel Regala, adding a vibrant artistic touch to the CRAG festivities.

The Athletes’ Village is open to all CRAG delegates and the public during the event.

🎨 ARTS EXHIBIT AND ART TALK EXTENDED 🖌️

Today, March 3, 2026, Guhit Pinas Surigao warmly welcomed students and teachers from for a meaningful art talk at the ongoing exhibit inside City Mall Surigao. The Paulinian visitors immersed themselves in diverse artworks, appreciating different styles, themes, and creative expressions. ✨

The artists shared valuable insights about art, the celebration of National Arts Month last February, and how creativity continues to shape lives and communities. Selected artworks were highlighted as the artists narrated the stories behind them — from inspiration and personal experiences to the techniques and materials used in each piece. 🖼️🎭

The students conducted short interviews, gaining wider perspectives about the artistic journey. Several interested participants also asked how they could join the group or participate in future events. 💬🤝

Guhit Pinas Surigao extends heartfelt gratitude to SPU Surigao for allowing their students to visit the exhibit. The group likewise happily thanks CityMall Surigao, the Surigao City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office , and the Local Government of Surigao through Mayor Paul Dumlao for their continued support of homegrown Surigaonon and Caraganon artists. 🙏🎉

A Stroke of Excellence! Congratulations on Your First Place Victory!

With great pride and admiration, we extend our warmest congratulations to our exceptionally talented student artist, Marriam Dushien Housien Rigor, for achieving First Place in the Pinta Karadjaw (On-the-Spot Painting) competition held on February 24, 2026, at the Provincial Convention Center.

Under the expert guidance of coach Mr. Geno Samson, this outstanding victory reflects not only artistic mastery but also the ability to vividly express the spirit of the theme, “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Galing.” This remarkable accomplishment earned a well-deserved Php 8,000.00 cash prize, bringing honor and pride to our school.

This meaningful event was spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte as part of the celebration of the National Arts Month: Buyan nan Arte Surigaonon, recognizing and uplifting the creative excellence of Surigaonon youth.

Your victory is a powerful reminder that art speaks truth, reflects talent, and inspires greatness. May your passion continue to paint a future filled with brilliance and success.

🖼️🎨Art Exhibit 2026 | 👩‍🎨🧑‍🎨An Art Talk by Guhit Pinas - Surigao

In celebration of National Arts Month, Guhit Pinas Surigao successfully held the Art Exhibit 2026 Art Talk on February 12, 2026 at City Mall Surigao, Surigao City. Around 150 Senior High School students and teachers from Surigao del Norte National High School (SNNHS) visited the exhibit as part of their learning competency for the subject Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Region.

The students, accompanied by their subject teachers and advisers, explored the vibrant artworks of our homegrown artists and witnessed various techniques used in creating some art pieces. The visit aimed to deepen their art appreciation and enrich their learning experience beyond the four corners of the classroom.

The Art Talk was facilitated by Guhit Pinas artists Len Russel Regala, Cyriel Baguinaon, Skiyejee Hassini Paigeh Palma, Ella Lalaine Pederi Villanueva, and Walter D. Andit, who generously shared insights into their creative processes, inspirations, and artistic journeys.

Guhit Pinas Surigao sincerely thanks the SNNHS administrators, teachers, and students for being part of this year’s exhibit and for supporting local art. Your presence truly made the celebration more meaningful!
