'Kaya ba yan ng tao!?'
We have heard people speculate that the Inaul of the Bansils is machine-made because the quality is too fine
The Bansils are flattered, because the whole dyeing and weaving process is done only by hand and with handmade tools!
Binalodan (ikat resist dyeing) is done by hand, the threads wrapped on the Sarikan (dyeing frame) without any sketches
For weaving, the family has several Iruwan (pedal looms), made by local carpenters from wood, bamboo, and ropes. It is powered entirely by hand and foot, no electricity needed!
