HEARTLAB 4 COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITION OPENS AT MUSEO DIPOLOG

DIPOLOG CITY - The heARTlab 4 Community Art Exhibition formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Museo Dipolog on February 16, 2026, at 1:30 PM, gathering local officials, artists, students, and art enthusiasts.

The activity was spearheaded by the City Government of Dipolog through the Dipolog City Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sports (CTACS), in partnership with Museo Dipolog.

The program began with Words of Welcome from City Councilor Hon. Kenny Val U. Ong, Chairperson of the Committee on Tourism, Trade, Commerce, and Industry of the 18th Sangguniang Panlungsod.

The opening was highlighted by musical performances from the DPDS Musikawayan Ensemble under Maestro Hay R. Sarita, and the ZNNHS-Turno Rondalla Ensemble led by Maestro Jomar M. Omisol, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the event.

City Tourism Officer Ms. Cecile R. Bilog introduced the featured artists, recognizing their creativity and contributions to the local art community.

A message on behalf of City Mayor Roberto Y. Uy was delivered by City Administrator Atty. Valerie Hope B. Jauculan-Flores, who underscored the importance of supporting the arts and nurturing local talent.

The event culminated in the ribbon-cutting and formal opening of the exhibit, marking the start of the heARTlab 4 Community Art Exhibition at Museo Dipolog, showcasing the diverse talents of local artists. (CIO)

"Echoes of Creativity: MSU-MCSE Artist Shines in 15th Tam-awan International Art Festival at Tam-awan Village"

From the heart of Mindanao to the highlands of Baguio City ๐ŸŒ„ โ€” Jhudielverd T. Jenon, President of Eclectic Atelier โ€“ The University Art Club and a BS Mathematics student of Mindanao State University โ€“ Main Campus Sindangan Extension, proudly represented the university during the 15th Tam-awan International Art Festival held on October 10โ€“12, 2025 in Tam-awan Village, Baguio City.

The event gathered artists, cultural advocates, and creatives such as painters, sculptors, photographers from across the Philippines for a series of exhibitions, art talks, and collaborative sessions centered on artistic identity, cultural preservation, and innovation.

Jhudielverd was recognized for his active participation and given the opportunity to deliver a speech, sharing his insights on the role of art as a bridge between cultures and generations. His artworks were also featured in the Tam-awan Village Art Gallery, receiving appreciation for their originality, depth, and cultural resonance.

The "An Eye" painting portrays the perspective that has gone to be covered by the right hand of a standing human, depicted from head to waist, placed at the center of the painting. An enormous eye seen on the upper-right corner of the canvas represents the vision that worked before but seems to be unworking for the benefit of its former body. It translates to that powerful perspective that once became a source of vision for a dreamful life. Eleven smaller and duller eyes represent the dead dreams that failed to be fulfilled in the past. The meltdown of the human's left hand, meanwhile, suggests a loss of control and the fragmentation of one's being, further emphasizing the disconnect between vision and reality.
