What a month August has been for the Silay City Chorale!✨
It’s been over a week since the Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival 2025 at Ateneo de Manila University, yet our hearts remain filled with joy, gratitude, and the echoes of music. Once more, we would like to sincerely thank the following:
First, our biggest thanks to MAYOR JOEDITH C. GALLEGO —your all-out support reminds us why we sing with pride for Silay. To the Silay City Government and the Silay City Tourism Office, especially Ms. Gerle Sulmaca, thank you for being the key that opened doors for our fund-raising concert last August 2.
Endless thanks as well to the Sen. Jose C. Locsin Cultural and Civic Center staff and the Natalio G. Velez Sports and Cultural Center staff for giving us a home for rehearsals.
And to Sir Ryan Gamboa - Salandigan and Tating G. Land Corporation—your love and unwavering support kept us going every step of the way. Madamo gd nga salamat lwat Sir❤️🙏
To Cong. Javi Benitez , we may not have met personally (yet 😊), but your support was deeply felt. We’re looking forward thanking you in person!
Of course, our families deserve a standing ovation —thank you for the patience, care, and cheers from our concert until the competition.
And to our ever-reliable Mana Gutierrez Aoyama , our liaison officer and guardian angel during AOVICF—thank you for being our go-to person and making sure everything flowed smoothly from start to finish.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to San Diego Parish - Diocese of Bacolod especially to Fr. Jojie, Fr. Rixi and the parish office and the music ministry, for their unwavering support and generosity in opening their doors to us. Allowing us to rehearse almost every night within such a sacred space has been a true blessing, nurturing not only our voices but also our spirits as we prepared for this journey.
Special thanks also to Sir Ismael D. Grantus —your passion, guidance, and love for music continue to inspire us to sing not just with skill, but with soul.
Most of all, 🙏 to God be the glory—every note we sing, every stage we stand on, is for Him.
To the SCC family—AOVICF may have ended, but the lessons, memories, and experiences we gained are only the beginning. Here’s to more music, more journeys, and more stages where we’ll continue to grow together and proudly carry the name of Silay!
