We are overjoyed to share that Voices of Silang has been awarded 3rd Place in the Mixed Category at the Himig Handog International Choral Grand Prix held in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
Alongside this milestone, we are equally honored to have received a Gold Diploma B in the Mixed Category and a Silver Diploma A in the Sacred Category. Both of these are a reflection of the depth of our preparation, passion, and commitment to our craft.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the City Government of Tagum, through its Tourism and Cultural Office and the Tagum City Tourism, Arts, and Culture Council, for providing a platform where amateur choirs like ours can grow and share our artistry alongside distinguished groups from across the Philippines.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the leaders and institutions who made our participation possible: Board Member Aidel Belamide, Representative of the 5th District to the Provincial Board; the Municipal Government of Silang headed by Mayor PGen. Ted Carranza (Ret.); Municipal Administrator Audie Madrideo; the Local Youth Development Office of Silang; Councilor Ari Velasco; Councilor Carlo Madlansacay; and the Brgy. Chairperson of Brgy. Bulihan, Hon. Junmar Talatala. Your belief in our vision empowered us to bring pride to our community.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Bulihan Integrated National High School for warmly embracing and supporting us throughout this journey. Your hospitality and encouragement have meant so much to us.
To our mother choir, the Salinlahi Serenata Singers, and its Alumni Society, words are not enough to express how grateful we are. You have been our guiding force, our inspiration, and truly the wind beneath our wings. Your constant support and belief in us have strengthened our resolve and reminded us of our purpose, especially in moments when the path felt uncertain.
To our mentors, friends, families, and every individual who supported us in ways both big and small. We want to express our warmest gratitude to all of you. The encouragement, sacrifices, and faith in us have been the unseen pillars that carried us through. This milestone is not ours alone; it is a shared victory with each and every one of you.
We would also like to honor the incredible choirs we had the privilege of performing alongside. Congratulations to the winners of the Grand Prix round, specifically to Marbel Children's Chorus for earning the First Prize, Polomolok NHS Chorale for securing second place, and PCNHS Mystiki Chorodia for winning third prize. Sharing the stage with such talented and inspiring groups was, in itself, an unforgettable and humbling experience.
More than a competition, this festival became a celebration of music, unity, and the enduring spirit of choral artistry. Last night was a powerful reminder that beyond awards and rankings, what truly matters is the connection we create through music, the stories we tell, the emotions we share, and the community we build.
This achievement fuels us to continue striving, learning, and growing together as one voice.
From all of us at Voices of Silang, thank you for being part of this beautiful journey. πΆ
