The Japanese Rice Fish, more commonly known as the Medaka, is a freshwater fish know for its active schooling behavior and adaptability. It is native to the waters of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Eastern China.
Medaka are egg-layers, with females carrying fertilized eggs for a short time before attaching them to aquatic plants or spawning mops.

Their calm temperament makes them excellent community fish. They thrive in 18–28Β°C water, with a pH of 6.5–8.0, and prefer clean, well-oxygenated conditions.

Excited to watch this beautiful species settle in and hopefully start breeding soon. 🀍
