Come and join us! Open to all Flute Players!!!

Mark Kenedy F. Rocas is a Filipino flutist from Sta. Cecilia Band 89 in General Trias, Cavite, and a dedicated music educator. He holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of the Philippines Diliman. An alumnus of the Philippine High School for the Arts, he was also a recipient of a scholarship from the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

As a soloist and orchestral musician, Mark has performed with esteemed ensembles such as the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, the UP Symphony Orchestra, and the UP Symphonic Band. He has also appeared in international concerts and festivals in Taiwan, Dubai, and Vietnam, including the Early Music America Summit and the ASEAN Music Festival.

He has studied under renowned flutists such as Sooyun Kim, Francisco Candelaria, Antonio Maigue, and Enrique Barcelo. Passionate about performance, music education, and the promotion of Filipino musical heritage, Mark continues to inspire through both his artistry and advocacy. This August, he will begin pursuing a Doctor of Arts in Music at the University of Northern Colorado.
