Nexus Core Tech Services provides professional repair services for game consoles, controllers, laptops, gaming PCs, and handheld devices. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, we’ve worked on a wide range of devices — from early-generation consoles like the Sony PSP to modern systems such as PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, Legion Go, and ROG Ally. Our services go beyond basic cleaning. We handle proper diagnostics, thermal servicing, power issues, charging problems, and mainboard-level repairs. Many of the units we repair are devices that no longer power on or have been previously diagnosed as “dead.”

Services are offered through pickup & delivery, limited on-site service for minor repairs, and appointment-based drop-off. All repairs are discussed clearly before work begins.

Some customers make a service memorable not because of the job itself, but because of the TRUST they give you.

This one is definitely one of those.

A massive THANK YOU to Sir Ivan of Biñan for trusting Nexus Core with not just one, but TWO of his valuable machines — his beloved PS5 and his gaming PC.

What started as a deep cleaning service turned into a full two-unit makeover. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone! 😅🔧

But what really stood out to us was how Sir Ivan handled the whole process.

He simply trusted us.

No hovering. No pressure. No constantly checking what we're doing.

He gave us the space and time to properly work on his machines and simply let us do what we came there to do.

And we REALLY took that trust seriously.

We spent almost FIVE HOURS working on both units.

Every part that needed attention was carefully cleaned, inspected, and put back together. We wanted both machines to look and feel as refreshed as possible before finally knocking on his door and saying:

"SIR, TAPOS NA PO." 😅

And just when we thought the job was done, Sir Ivan surprised us with something we honestly weren't expecting — a ₱500 TIP. ❤️

Tips are NEVER required and definitely not part of our service charge. That's why receiving one after putting in the hours genuinely means a lot to us.

One of the things we appreciate most in this line of work isn't just getting the job done — it's having customers who understand the reality behind the work.

Sir Julian was one of those customers.

We had a particularly heavy booking schedule that day, and because of that, we weren't able to start his PS5 Slim home service until around 6:30 PM.

Despite the late start, Sir Julian was very understanding and patiently accommodated our schedule. He didn't hesitate to let us proceed, and for that, we genuinely want to say:

We then got to work on his PS5 Slim with a thorough internal cleaning and thermal maintenance.

Interestingly, the console wasn't particularly dusty compared to some of the units we've worked on.

What caught our attention during the teardown was the condition of the STOCK LIQUID METAL.

It was already showing significant signs of drying, making the thermal interface worth addressing even though the console itself wasn't heavily contaminated with dust.

We proceeded with the necessary cleaning, thermal maintenance, careful reassembly, and testing.

📸 I'll be sharing some photos from the teardown, along with the BEFORE AND AFTER condition of the console.

This is also a good reminder that a console doesn't necessarily have to look extremely dusty from the outside for its internal thermal interface to need attention.

Sometimes, the important things are the ones you simply can't see without opening the console properly.

And to Sir Julian — thank you for your patience, understanding, and for trusting us despite the late service schedule.

Some service calls are more memorable than others, and this one definitely deserves a special mention.

A big THANK YOU to Sir Raymond from Alabang-Muntinlupa for trusting Nexus Core with his PS4 Series 10 and booking our DEEP CLEANING HOME SERVICE.

We made the trip from San Pedro all the way to Alabang-Muntinlupa to service his console right at home. 🔧🏠

The PS4 hadn't been used much for gaming because of concerns that accumulated dust and aging thermal paste could eventually affect its cooling performance.

So before getting back into serious gaming, Sir Raymond decided to have the console properly serviced first.

During the service, we performed a complete teardown, removed the accumulated dust and debris, cleaned the internal cooling components, and replaced the old thermal paste with fresh thermal compound before carefully reassembling and testing the unit.

The console was experiencing a recurring overheating condition, consistently displaying the warning:

"Your PS5 is too hot. Turn off your PS5, and wait until the temperature goes down."

We proceeded with a proper teardown and inspection of the cooling system.

Upon disassembly, we found a significant amount of accumulated dust throughout the internal cooling components. The original liquid-metal thermal interface on the APU also showed signs of drying and uneven coverage, which warranted thermal-interface maintenance.

OUR SERVICE INCLUDED:

🧹 Thorough removal of accumulated dust and debris from the cooling system and internal components

🌡️ Removal and proper replacement of the existing liquid-metal thermal interface

We're happy to have spent part of the remaining weekend helping two customers get their controllers back in shape and ready for more gaming.

🎮 SIR JOHN VINCENT

His DualSense 5 received a HALL EFFECT ANALOG STICK INSTALLATION.

After the installation, the controller was properly calibrated and tested to make sure the new sticks were responding correctly and ready for gaming.

🎮 SIR JONAH

His DualShock 4 came in with several issues that needed attention:

🔧 L2 button issue

🔧 Broken inner shell

🔧 Replacement of the button film flex for all buttons

After the necessary repairs and replacement, the controller was reassembled and tested to make sure everything was functioning properly again.

Two controllers. Different problems. Same goal — GETTING THEM BACK TO GAMING. 🎮❤️

The unit came in with a NO POWER / NOT TURNING ON issue, which required proper diagnosis and testing to determine the cause before proceeding with the repair.

While having the power issue addressed, Sir Kristopher also opted to have the console thoroughly DEEP CLEANED — a good opportunity to give the system some much-needed maintenance while it was already in our care.

For the thermal paste replacement, we used ARCTIC MX-6 Premium Thermal Paste for its excellent thermal performance and long-term stability.

This DualSense received a K-Silver J13 Pro TMR Analog Stick upgrade — but proper TMR installation is more than simply replacing the original sticks.
