ShowcOys™

Showcoys are legendary creatures in Philippine mythology which were members of Bantay Tubig (Merfolk). They are usually illustrated as green-skinned aquatic humanoids with scales, webbed limbs and fins.

In the year 2010, a group of childhood friends (Julius, Jess, Fennray and Arvie Lou) decided to join different competitions in sports and entertainment for fun. We were known as a “shy type” group of personalities off stage but transforming into a different creature on stage performances. Luckily, video cameras on that time were not yet affordable to everybody as of what we have today so we only have few traces of our non-sense. The concept was brought up by Julius since we became two-faced men when it comes to entertainment and three of us are currently studying maritime courses at that time except for Arvie Lou who took up Criminology, Showcoys Entertainment was born.

In February 2019, one of the members, Julius created this page to continue having fun by creating videos, sharing his original song compositions and other fun contents for pass time while working onboard ship.

In 2020, ten years after the birth of the group name. The members already have their own dealings in life and others have their own families. While trying to keep their visions higher than their age, Julius together with his wife want to take it up to the next level, step by step amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. They decided to join a different kind of competition and this time will be in the world of fabrics and illustrations. To continue the concept that was imagined ten years ago, Julius still want to carry the name who brought up so much fun for their childhood group and wear the name Showcoys Clothing with pride.
