Tethered Fragments contemplates the quiet architecture of connection, where disparate forms find equilibrium through acts of restraint and care. Cath Salazar assembles still-life compositions that bring together stone, wood, and wild flora, materials carrying distinct temporalities and physical weight, unified by the recurring presence of rope. Rather than functioning as an instrument of confinement, the rope becomes a gesture of preservation, transforming binding into an expression of support, stability, and trust.

In Where the Light Still Rests, Pollyanna continues her exploration of the figure that has become both subject and silent muse, a presence gently enveloped in petals, suspended between memory and becoming. Rendered through luminous palettes and delicate, gentle brushwork, Pollyanna’s artworks possess an ethereal softness that invites contemplation. The floral forms become extensions of an interior landscape where remembrance quietly takes root.

Pollyanna (b. 1996) is a Filipina visual artist and book illustrator based in Manila, Philippines. She studied in The College of Fine Arts in University of the Philippines majoring in Visual Communication and works freelance for publishing houses. Her deep understanding for both digital and traditional mediums has led her to create unique pieces that incorporate principles from both.

Her early works are heavily inspired by her artistic journey as an illustrator. Themes surrounding femininity and flora. During the pandemic, she started exhibiting digital works in Multiple group shows and Art Fairs abroad. Her works evolve through time as she transitions to the use of oil and continues to hone her skills. Navigating complex themes through her own deep personal experiences.

Now with her lowbrow female figures, tales escaping from her creative grips with surreal themes, her works evoke a sense of calm and wonder. With serenity and innocence revealing layers of complexity through the innocent eyes and childlike appearance. Femininity blooms under a curious blanket of skies. And bring about different windows of audiences to wonder in carefree.

Tethered Fragments
Cath Salazar
August 14 - September 3, 2026

Tethered Fragments contemplates the quiet architecture of connection, where disparate forms find equilibrium through acts of restraint and care. Cath Salazar assembles still-life compositions that bring together stone, wood, and wild flora, materials carrying distinct temporalities and physical weight, unified by the recurring presence of rope. Rather than functioning as an instrument of confinement, the rope becomes a gesture of preservation, transforming binding into an expression of support, stability, and trust.

Within these carefully orchestrated arrangements, permanence encounters ephemerality. The enduring mass of stone and the grounded character of timber are softened by the fleeting vitality of plants, creating a visual language that speaks to the delicate negotiations sustaining our lives. Salazar’s meticulous rendering heightens this dialogue, allowing texture, shadow, and illumination to reveal the subtle relationships between strength and vulnerability.

Tethered Fragments proposes that balance is rarely achieved through isolation, but through the invisible forces that hold disparate elements together. In elevating ordinary objects into contemplative symbols, Salazar invites viewers to consider the unseen bonds that steady those quiet acts of holding that make endurance, tenderness, and grace possible.

Where the Light Still Rests
Pollyanna
August 14 - September 3, 2026

In Where the Light Still Rests, Pollyanna continues her exploration of the figure that has become both subject and silent muse, a presence gently enveloped in petals, suspended between memory and becoming. Rendered through luminous palettes and delicate, gentle brushwork, Pollyanna’s artworks possess an ethereal softness that invites contemplation. The floral forms become extensions of an interior landscape where remembrance quietly takes root.

Rather than treating nostalgia as a longing for what has passed, Pollyanna reimagines it as a quiet illumination carried through life. Fleeting moments, a beloved story, the warmth of afternoon light, and the comfort of familiar melodies are transformed into visual metaphors that continue to shape an individual’s inner worlds long after they have faded from view. These subtle recollections become enduring sources of tenderness, resilience, and hope.

Flowers emerge throughout the collection as symbols of continuity, each bloom bearing the traces of seasons lived and emotions quietly preserved. These speak of transformation without loss, suggesting that growth is not the abandonment of what came before, but the gentle accumulation of all that has nurtured.

More than a meditation on memory, the exhibition offers a contemplative refuge. It reminds the viewer that wonder is not confined to childhood nor left behind with time. It endures as an inner radiance that accompanies every stage of becoming. In Pollyanna’s delicate visual language, the past is neither distant nor fixed. It continues to bloom within, softly lighting the path forward.
