The Ara Coeli Choir is deeply honored to have once again been part of this year’s Rosario Cantada — a cherished tradition that continues to bring together faith, music, and community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Vincent Varlez, our Music Director, for his exceptional guidance and his inspiring composition and arrangement of Aba Ginoong Maria. Our sincere thanks as well to Mr. John Rafael Abanilla, our dedicated conductor, and Mr. Jaime Pacao who played the piano for us, for their leadership and artistry that helped bring our performance to life.

We are also grateful to the Couples for Christ community for joining us in this beautiful celebration for sharing your voices, your passion, and for fostering unity and friendship through music.

Our deepest appreciation goes to those who made this event possible; Director Edwin Sibal, Scriptwriter Jame Lim Jr., and our committed Music Ministry Officers: Elijah Lim, Mark Bartolata, Jethro Bueno, and Tricia Pacao. Your hard work and dedication behind the scenes are truly commendable.

Finally, we express our sincere thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters. Your continued support and kindness make events like these possible.

To God be the glory!

The Ara Coeli Choir, after their choir service, held a dinner marking their 48th anniversary—a milestone that underscored their enduring love for music and their unwavering commitment to serving God and His people. This memorable gathering was made even more meaningful through the dedicated efforts of the choir members, who worked tirelessly on last year’s fundraising, as well as the generosity of our sponsors, whose support not only made this celebration possible but also contributed greatly to the procurement of uniforms for our new and promising members, ensuring that they too may carry forward the legacy of the choir with pride and unity.

As we draw nearer to our golden anniversary, we are profoundly thankful to all our members, whether active or inactive in service, for the time, dedication, and passion they have shared throughout the years. We are equally grateful to our brothers and sisters in Christ within the parish, especially the Music Ministry, for journeying with us in faith and harmony, and for their encouragement in keeping the fire of our mission alive. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our parish priests and spiritual advisers who continue to guide and inspire us in our walk of faith, reminding us that our music is not merely performance but a prayer lifted in praise and thanksgiving.

Looking ahead, we renew our commitment to nurture the gifts entrusted to us, to welcome new voices into our fold, and to strengthen the bonds that unite us as one family in Christ. With God’s grace, and with the continued support of our parish and community, we hope to carry forward the mission of the Ara Coeli Choir into the years to come, bringing joy, inspiration, and the spirit of service to all whom we reach through the gift of music.

- The Baptism of the Lord

On this day, we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord, a momentous occasion where the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus, proclaiming him as the beloved Son of God. This sacred event marks the beginning of Jesus's public ministry, a time of grace, healing, and the fulfillment of God's promises. Let us draw inspiration from this divine revelation, renewing our faith and embracing the call to live a life of service and compassion.

• 2025 January 1
- Solemnity of Mary the Holy Mother of God

The Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God, reminds us of Mary's pivotal role in the story of salvation. This feast also calls us to reflect on Mary's maternal care, not only for Jesus but for all humanity. As a spiritual mother, she intercedes for us and guides us toward her Son. May this celebration encourage us to imitate Mary's virtues and deepen our relationship with Christ, allowing His love to guide us in the year ahead.

Today, we also entrust our departed brother, Roel Reyes, to the loving embrace of our Mother Mary. May she, in her tender care, guide him to the eternal joy of God's presence

We say goodbye to Roel with heavy hearts but immense gratitude. His dedication to the Ara Coeli Choir, the Santuario del Santo Cristo Music Ministry, and the Santuario del Santo Cristo Parish has touched us all. Through his music, leadership, and faith, he has uplifted our community and inspired us all.

We take comfort in the words of Matthew 25:21:
"Well done, good and faithful servant... enter into the joy of your Lord."

Thank you, Roel, for everything. You will be greatly missed and always remembered in our hearts and prayers. Rest in peace.

With love,
Your forever family, The Ara Coeli Choir
