Objectives: The seminar-workshop intends to encourage business and financial empowerment among creatives, with the following specific goals:
• Educate artists on basic costing and pricing for creative products.
• Simulate a real-world budgeting procedure to create a merchandise batch.
• Assist participants in creating and enhancing their personal or creative brand.
• Improve the entrepreneurial and financial expertise of local artists and artisans in the creative business.

Our morning session will focus on the financial aspects, which will be facilitated by Ms. Yanney of Pan & Charlie PH. While the afternoon session will focus on branding and marketing, facilitated by Marcél Learns of TipaManik , also a creative director for Octopus&Whale.

Some snaps from last weekend’s live model portrait session, a rainy and productive day.

Though this was her first time as a model, Miss Rhana posed as if she’s a professional muse for artists. The artists on other hand had various ways of interpreting the model’s beauty in their chosen medium.

Ready made canvas from malls and online shops are pricey for their quality. In this Canvas stretching workshop facilitated by Harvey San Miguel of Art&Works Pampanga , we were taught how to measure properly, how to adjust the frame to make the surface flat, how to stretch the canvas, and how to prime it. This canvas cost less but way better than the ready-made ones.
