The BSED-2 English students of the ISUFST-SEC are proud to present a captivating performance of the traditional Filipino folk dance, "Salakot." This dance, originating from the picturesque valleys and plains of Panay Island in the Visayas region, showcases the lively spirit and rich cultural heritage of the Philippines.
The "Salakot," a traditional wide-brimmed hat, lends its name to this graceful dance. Crafted from natural materials such as rattan or phragmites reeds, this iconic headwear stands for the deep connection of Filipinos to their land and traditions. The dancers gracefully execute the intricate steps and lively movements, personifying the spirit of community and unity
