The BINHI Performing Arts delegation recently had the incredible honor to represent our school at the esteemed CHED Zonal Creativity Summit 2024 held at the University of Baguio. From October 17 to 18, 2024, this transformative event brought together passionate students from across Northern Luzon, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. As we stepped onto Baguio's vibrant streets, excitement filled the air, knowing we were sailing on an unforgettable journey filled with learning and collaboration.
The summit itself was an engaging experience, showcasing a line-up of remarkable resource speakers hailing from prestigious universities. We were particularly inspired by the insights shared by esteemed figures such as CHED Chairperson Dr. J. Prospero E. de Vera III and other distinguished guests, including Dr. Demetrio Anduyan Jr.. CESO III and Ms. Marichu Tellano. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Engr. Javier Herminio Bautista, President of the University of Baguio, whose warm hospitality made us feel at home, reinforcing the summit’s inclusive spirit of creativity and innovation.
Our performance, which artfully captured the rich history and culture of San Carlos City, was a labor of love that we poured our hearts into. The pride and passion we displayed and performed created an enchanting atmosphere, leaving the audience mesmerized. Being the only group presenting a Musical Theatre piece elevated our experience, and we felt an overwhelming sense of achievement as we shared this slice of our heritage with everyone present.
We are deeply grateful for your highest endorsement and support, San Carlos City Mayor Julier C. Resuello, for permitting BINHI Performing Arts of BCC to join the summit in the beautiful city of Baguio. This has come in a time when your generosity exemplifies your love not only for the people of San Carlos City but also for students with passion of excellence. A special note of thanks goes to Dr. Macrina B. Cajala, our incredible College President, whose steadfast support has offered us experiences we will cherish forever. Her commitment to our growth is palpable, and we are deeply grateful. Thank you also to Ma’am Vienna Rose Magramo, our new College Administrator, for your love, support, and dedication to the students of BCC. We also acknowledge Mrs. Jesusa T. Alguno, Dean of the Education Department, for her insightful guidance. Our heartfelt appreciation extends to our dedicated advisers, Mrs. Lezenda Gonzales and Mr. Regie De Guzman, whose relentless efforts and encouragement have nurtured our skills and talents, ensuring we were ready to shine on this significant stage.
As we reflect upon this unforgettable experience, the BINHI Performing Arts performers are filled with gratitude and happiness. The knowledge we gained and the bonds we built during the summit have left a lasting impact on us. We are devoted to maintaining our humility while displaying our talents, upholding the BCCian spirit wherever we may be, and most importantly, praising God for any chance that comes our way. If we get the opportunity to represent our school regionally in the future, we promise to take our performances to new heights, seizing every opportunity to grow and inspire others to always make a difference.
