CAPSU Main Chorale’s participation will add vibrancy and cultural richness to this year's celebration of the ASEAN Day simultaneously with the International Day and Linggo ng Kabataan, highlighting the spirit of unity, friendship, and collaboration among the ASEAN member states through the universal language of music.

The Capiz State University - Main Chorale is honored to have been part of the 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 (𝗪𝗩 𝗕𝗶𝘇𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗘𝘅) 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 – 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇 𝗟𝗲𝗴 held at San Antonio Resort, Brgy. Baybay, Roxas City.

Through music, we proudly welcomed and inspired participants, adding harmony to a gathering that celebrated innovation, entrepreneurship, collaboration, and regional economic growth. It was a privilege to share our voices in an event that empowers businesses and strengthens connections across Western Visayas.

Join us as we celebrate music, passion, and artistry with Capiz State University - Main Chorale as Guest Performer on 07 August 2026, Friday, 8:00 A.M. at Passi City Arena, Passi City, Iloilo during 2026 International Youth Day, Linggo ng Kabataan and ASEAN Day – Western Visayas Kick Off Celebration organized by the Borres Youth Leadership Institute, Inc., co-presented by CHILDInitiative and in partnership with Passi City Government and National Youth Commission - Region 6.

ABOUT CAPIZ STATE UNIVERSITY - MAIN CHORALE

CapSU Main Chorale (CMC) is the official choral ensemble of Capiz State University – Main Campus. The group represented Region VI in the National PASUC Chorale Competition from 2015–2018, earning multiple awards, including a national championship title.

CMC was nominated as Best Chorale Group in the 30th Aliw Awards and won the title in the 31st Aliw Awards. The ensemble has also joined international events such as the FEUropa Music Festival and became a finalist in the Medici International Music Competition.

In 2023, the group represented the Philippines in the 12th World Choir Games in South Korea, receiving a Golden Diploma (Folklore A Capella) and a Silver Diploma (University/College Choir) under the direction of Dr. Vivian B. Apuang and Prof. Mico Lauron.

In 2024, CMC won championships at the Mga Tingug sang Paswa Iloilo Choral Competition and the Acapelleo Competition, and placed 2nd Runner-up in the PASUC Standard Choir Competition. In 2025, the group competed at the Borneo International Vocal Arts Festival (Malaysia), earning Grand Prix Champion and other category awards, and advanced as a Regional Finalist in NAMCYA.

For many years, CMC has exemplified dedication, artistry, and passion for choral music—continuing to bring pride to Capiz State University, Region VI, and the Philippines.
