It's New Year's Eve, the perfect time for Thanksgiving and Praise! As we reflect on our lives this past year, we have much to thank God for.
You are probably very familiar with the notion of creating resolutions for theNew Year, essentially outlining what you hope to do better than you did thisyear, and maybe that’s something that you want to challenge yourself to do
this coming year, but before you look forward to what changes you want tomake, why not take a moment to look back?
Ask yourself the following questions, and take a moment to remember all thatGod has done for you:
1.How has God shown Himself as faithful to me this year?
2.What problems did God deliver me from?
3.What reasons do I have to rejoice today?
Even if this year brought a lot of negative events your way, you still have areason to praise God. You’re still here, are you not? He brought you through it,
did He not? And if you’re still going through it, you can thank God that He willbring you through at the right time.
If God’s mercies are new every morning, you can’t help but have a great year ifyou choose to accept His mercy for your life and walk in His grace daily. Let usgive resounding thanks to God and call upon His name. Why don’t you closethis year by letting others know what He has done in your life? Sing your songof adoration as one year ends and another begins.
