Remixing Dissent: Deconstructing Urban Experience

The four man exhibition based on the selected artworks of Alfonso Aguiles, Emman Cardeno, Rejih Quinia and Paulo Gaviola seeks to evoke discourse on how city life transforms constraints in simultaneously urgent and playful ways. Prefixes prompt the probe of these conditions: "re", in the sense of joining together in unison, and "de", in the sense of resistance. The works reveal gestures of subjection and presence expressed through sub-urban aesthetic trends as it continues to evolve and flourish. However, their divergent approaches to that subject reveal not only distinct aesthetic taste and techniques, but also different underlying social and geopolitical background.

Congratulations on your First Solo Show! ^_^ Jori Gallano

HAPPENING THIS FRIDAY!

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒔?! — is a common expression used with an encounter of unpleasant situations. This exhibit paves its way to introduce who I am as an abstract artist. The series of selected paintings show abstracted narrative as I used to reimagine and create something out of disarray of things. Part of my creative process is an attempt to navigate the seemingly oblivious memories of my childhood which takes us back in time (particularly in the 90s). How can a child remain creative as he/she grows up? The choice is yours.
