Besides, no matter what we are going through, somebody else has already gone through it, so it is such a relief when we hear their stories, even when they are long gone, such is the power of the written word, of literature, the chronicles of the human spirit, of the human experience-of agony, mirth, folly & glory, triumph & defeat. There is order in chaos, and light gets the brightest in the darkest of places. 🫠

For once, i'd like to experience how it is to faint. Alas, my body has always been too strong - that i have once walked for 3 straight days under the rain, the Sun, and stars without even water, 40 seemingly endless kilometers in December.

My soul is weary, as though stretched too thin, far older and battered beyond my years.

And everything feels like a band-aid to a terminal disease.

I need a looong holiday. Yet nothing ever comes close to the sanctuary in my mind - here I can be calm and at peace even when the world is raging and ending.

In these rare moments of clarity, serenity, and peace, I remember the atoms of JRR Tolkien, every other literary genius, sports GOATS, religious and spiritual luminaries, all the people our species have deified, along with those who were content to just blend in the background.

All who have been, all of us who are, and all who will be, the universe will always have a place for us precisely because it wastes nothing.

And, for me, that is enough comfort than an Afterlife, A Second Life...In a very real sense, we are all immortals.
