"Everything; under the same sun"
24" x 40" inches each
Acrylic paint & resin on canvas
2026

I don't want to forget how the sun looks
I am not here to be bigger than the universe,
but to belong within it.

I return to it as a reminder that light arrives every morning without asking anything of us. Beneath its vastness, I find perspective, humility, and peace.

This painting is my reflection on the quiet beauty of simply being a small part of everything. And feel enough.

“Despite the Quiet Weight”
40” x 72” inches
Acrylic on canvas
2026

Bougainvillea thrives in harsh environments. The more stress it endures, the more the flowers show up and despite everything, it still chooses to bloom softly.

This work draws from that same quiet resilience.
I grew up slowly distancing myself from the color pink. With casual remarks like “it’s too pink,” or “wow, pink na pink ka naman” – made it feel like something I had to outgrow. Something too soft to be taken seriously and without noticing, it began to shrink parts of me

But I’ve also witnessed women around me including my mother and my friends who continue to move through life with a kind of strength that does not reject softness, but survives alongside it.

So this work is a return. Not just to a color, but to the parts of myself I once learned to hide.
