We finally did it, fellow Lourdesians! This school year was such a wild ride with all the cramming, group projects, and core memories we made together. Huge congrats to everyone for surviving and thriving—we really proved that kinaya na at kakayanin pa!

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible women who have transformed this institution into a space of empowerment and growth.

In our society, women shouldn’t just "fit in." A woman should be a leader, a decision-maker, and a person who stands her ground. You deserve to be heard, to be respected, and to take up space without apology.

For generations, society has tried to silence and limit women. Yet time and again, we rise higher, push further, and prove that our strength cannot be contained. We do not just endure challenges, we confront them.

Today, we celebrate the power, brilliance, and resilience of every woman who continues to build a stronger society that women themselves have made.

Sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas, ang People Power noong 1986 ay isa sa pinakamahalagang pangyayari na nagpapakita na kapag nagkaisa ang mamamayan, walang imposible. Sa kahabaan ng EDSA, hindi armas ang ginamit kundi pananalig, tapang, at malasakit sa bayan. Ipinakita ng mga Pilipino na ang tunay na kapangyarihan ay nasa taumbayan sa kanilang tinig, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal sa kalayaan. Sa harap ng takot at pagsubok, pinili nilang tumindig nang payapa upang ipaglaban ang demokrasya at wakasan ang diktadurya para sa susunod na henerasyon.

Hanggang ngayon, dala natin ang aral ng EDSA: ang tunay na kapangyarihan ay nagmumula sa taumbayan at kayang baguhin ang kasaysayan nang hindi dumanak ng dugo. Bilang kabataan at mamamayan, tungkulin nating ipagpatuloy ang diwa ng People Power sa pamamagitan ng pagiging responsable, matapat, at may malasakit sa kapwa. Nawa’y manatili sa ating puso ang alaala ng pagkakaisang nagbago ng kasaysayan, isang paalala na sa bawat Pilipinong may pag-asa at pananampalataya, buhay ang diwa ng People Power.✊
