Today is the International Observe the Moon Night and it also happens to be Autumnal Equinox!

Autumnal equinox is one of the two times of the year when day and night have equal lengths (the other being the vernal equinox). Autumnal equinox is also the time of the day when the Sun's path in the sky, called the ecliptic, crosses the celestial equator. The celestial equator is the imaginary line in the sky that is directly above the Earth's equator.
